A Tribute to My Dear Friend and Brother HRH Eze Ositadimma B. Nwokocha It is hard to believe that you are no longer here with us. Your passing has left a deep emptiness in my heart that words can barely express. You were more than a friend to me, you were a brother, a confidant, and a constant source of strength and wisdom. HRH Eze Ositadimma B. Nwokocha, you lived a life of honour, humility, and service. You carried yourself with grace and dignity, touching the lives of everyone around you. Your laughter, kindness, and compassion could brighten even the darkest days. You taught me what it means to stand tall, to love deeply, and to serve with sincerity. About a year ago, you called me and told me that you had decided to become a church warden, and you wanted me to drive you to the church. I did and that moment remains unforgettable. It was a powerful display of your humility and your deep commitment to God and the community despite your royal status. You also left a lasting impact on the entire Late Chief B. A. Iwuh’s family, standing by us through thick and thin. Your love, counsel, and friendship strengthened our bond in ways words cannot fully describe. Your departure has created a silence that echoes in every heart that knew you. Yet even in death, your legacy lives on, in the memories we shared, the lives you touched, and the values you upheld. You will forever remain a symbol of leadership, friendship, and integrity. Rest well, my brother and king. You may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Your spirit will continue to guide and inspire us always. Rest in peace, HRH Eze Ositadimma B. Nwokocha, a true brother, a noble soul, and a man whose memory will never fade. Hon. Cajetan Iwuh

Tribute to Eze Ositadinma B. Nwokocha. Some people are born into this earthly life with missionary zeal. They are generally concerned about the welfare of others especially the spiritual health of those they encounter in their journey of life. Often, their life span is defined by the duration of the mission they have come to accomplish. HRH Eze Ositadinma B. Nwokocha fits this description aptly. He lived a sacrificial life judged by the spontaneous testimonies given even by people in ordinary walks of life. A man’s life should deservedly be evaluated on the basis of its impact factor. HRH, Eze Ositadinma B. Nwokocha has returned to his Maker armed with a good score card. May his generous soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace, amen. A Pillar of Light: A Nephew’s Tribute to HRH Eze Ositadinma Nwokocha Umara III By: Chinonyerem Nwokocha (Nephew) It is with a heart weighed down by profound sorrow, yet simultaneously lifted by a treasure trove of cherished memories, that I stand here to bid farewell to my dear uncle, a true King—His Royal Highness, Eze Ositadinma Nwokocha Umara III of Amumara. The news of your transition, Uncle, left an immediate and irreplaceable void, not just in the royal household, but in the entire landscape of Amumara that you so diligently nurtured. For decades, you occupied the esteemed throne of your fathers, and in doing so, you carried the burdens and the aspirations of our people with unparalleled grace, dignity, and wisdom. You were more than a monarch; you were the living embodiment of our community’s history, traditions, and collective spirit. Your reign, Eze Umara III, was characterized by peace (Eze Udo), fairness, and an unwavering commitment to unity. You resolved conflicts with Solomonic wisdom and provided vision where there was doubt. Amumara thrived under your leadership, rooted firmly in the cultural values you championed. On a personal level, you were my uncle, my mentor, and a towering source of inspiration. I was privileged to witness, up close, the meticulous care, patience, and intelligence you brought to every royal deliberation. You were firm, yet infinitely compassionate—a man who taught me that true power lies not in command, but in the integrity of one’s character. I will forever hold dear the times spent listening to your counsel, which were always delivered with a characteristic blend of historical context and future foresight. The lessons you imparted—about duty, heritage, and the necessity of truth—are the foundational pillars upon which I have built my own life. They are a legacy far more valuable than any inheritance, and they will continue to guide me and the younger generation of the Nwokocha family. You have completed your noble journey. Your royal staff has been laid to rest, and your soul has joined the revered ancestors who watch over Amumara. Though we mourn your physical departure, we take solace in the enduring quality of the legacy you leave behind. Go well, Eze Umara III. Rest in the eternal peace you brought to your people. Your memory remains etched in our hearts, a royal seal that can never be broken. Adieu, Igwe! Jee nke ọma!
